The successful candidate will serve as an Associate Director for the Immunogenetics and Transplantation (HLA) Laboratory at UC San Diego Health’s Center for Advanced Laboratory Medicine (CALM), and at the UCSD Medical Centers in La Jolla and Hillcrest. The ITL performs over 12,000 billable tests/year, supporting more than 500 solid organ and 100 allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplants yearly at UCSD and Rady Children’s Hospital while contributing to the clinical, education, and research missions at UCSD. The position involves a broad range of clinical and administrative responsibilities, as well as teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. This academically rich environment offers exceptional opportunities for translational and clinical research collaboration with leading investigators at UC San Diego, its affiliates, and several other nearby institutions.
