The Division of Applied Sciences within the Department of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences (http://radonc.ucsd.edu) at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Division seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level with a research portfolio focusing on cancer, aging, community engagement, dissemination and implementation, health equity, and/or health services research.
This position will have the following roles and responsibilities:
• Education: Provide training, teaching, and education of UCSD Radiation Oncology residents, medical students, and visiting radiation oncology residents and other professionals.
• Service: Participate in committees at the departmental, cancer center, university, local, and/or national level, as appropriate.
• Research: Engage in a program of scholarly activity, including the pursuit of intramural and extramural funding sources to support original research.

As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Candidate must have a PhD in Health Services Research or a related field and have existing research/scholarly activities and experience.
Candidates with existing NIH funding and/or plans to pursue continuing extramural funding are preferred.
