Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $82,300 - $313,800. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position description

The Division of Applied Sciences within the Department of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences (http://radonc.ucsd.edu) at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Division seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level with a research portfolio focusing on cancer, aging, community engagement, dissemination and implementation, health equity, and/or health services research.

This position will have the following roles and responsibilities:

• Education: Provide training, teaching, and education of UCSD Radiation Oncology residents, medical students, and visiting radiation oncology residents and other professionals.

• Service: Participate in committees at the departmental, cancer center, university, local, and/or national level, as appropriate.

• Research: Engage in a program of scholarly activity, including the pursuit of intramural and extramural funding sources to support original research.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidate must have a PhD in Health Services Research or a related field and have existing research/scholarly activities and experience.

Preferred qualifications

Candidates with existing NIH funding and/or plans to pursue continuing extramural funding are preferred.
