Position title: Director of Cardiac Imaging
Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $300,000 - $400,000 with opportunity for additional incentive compensation based on productivity. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position description

The Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu/) at the University of California, San Diego, is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is seeking a Director of Cardiac Imaging in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine.

The selected candidate will take oversight of both clinical and administrative operations. The selected candidate will also be responsible for the clinical care of patients, interpretation of non-invasive studies, CT and MR, research, training and teaching, and some local travel.

The appropriate series and appointment will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidates must have a MD or equivalent.

Candidates must be Board certified or Board eligible in Non-Invasive Cardiology.

Candidates must also have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
