Salary range: A reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $70,900 - $118,700 as determined by rank and/or step at appointment. Position description

The School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) at UC San Diego invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the fields of International Relations and/or Comparative Politics with substantive expertise in international security or regional security, broadly defined.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

At the time of application, candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree or be ABD (all but dissertation) in political science or a related field.

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

By the time of appointment, candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in political science or a related field.

Preferred qualifications

Substantive expertise in International Relations or Comparative Politics, particularly in international security or regional security is preferred.
