Position description

Faculty Position in Hematology/Oncology, and the Comprehensive Breast Health Center. The Division of Hematology/Oncology (http://med.ucsd.edu) in the Department of Medicine and the Comprehensive Breast Health Center at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is actively recruiting clinicians focused on breast oncology.

The individual will continue to help expand the multidisciplinary clinical breast program and participate in the educational and teaching activities of the Division. The Comprehensive Breast Health Center is led by dual trained surgeon and is vastly multidisciplinary in nature, including all aspects of an NCI designated cancer center level of care, as it is part of the Moores Cancer Center at UCSD. This position will be under the leadership of both the Breast Center Director and the Chief of Hematology/Oncology.

Candidates must have an MD or MD/PhD. Candidates with an MD must be board certified/eligible in Medical Oncology and must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California. Candidates must also have a track record of successful clinical trials leadership or translational research.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
