Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (HS Clinical, Clinical X, Adjunct, In-Residence) Medical and Biochemical Genetics
Position description
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego (https://medschool.ucsd.edu/som/pediatrics/Pages/default.aspx) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Division of Genetics are currently seeking to expand the Medical Genetics and Biochemical Genetics team:

The Genetics Division is actively involved in clinical care, research, teaching, and service. The Division sees more than 4,000 patients per year in a variety of clinics, primarily as outpatients at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego, but also at UCSD Medical Center, throughout Southern California, and in Mexico.
Candidates must have an MD or MD/PhD or equivalent, be board certified/board eligible in Medical Genetics and/or Biochemical Genetics. Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
Candidates with evidence of regional or national involvement in education and/or research activities (societies, conference presentations, abstract reviews, publications, grants, other) are preferred. Candidate with four to five years of clinical experience and a clinical and/or research focus in Genetics are preferred.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
