Position description

The Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu) at University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is actively recruiting a clinician educator to join a robust and growing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and hematologic malignancies Program at an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and member of the NCCN.

Excellent opportunities for teaching and pursuing academic interests with time dedicated to teaching and scholarly activity.

Candidates must have an MD and be board certification/eligibility and must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California. Experience in clinical trial accrual and blood and marrow transplantation patient care is also required.

Experience in administration of immune effector cells (CAR-T) is preferred.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
