Position description

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (http://ortho.ucsd.edu/) and the Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego (www.rchsd.org) are committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body are jointly recruiting for a highly qualified Pediatric Physiatrist.

Responsibilities will include patient care, teaching and research at Rady Children’s Hospital and satellite clinics.

Candidates must have an MD or DO and must have completed an accredited physical medicine and rehabilitation residency training program. Candidates must be American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation certified or eligible at the time of application with sub-specialty in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine. Candidates with an MD must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
