Position description

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the School of Medicine at the University of California San Diego (http://ortho.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and is recruiting for a highly qualified Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon.

Responsibilities will include patient care, teaching and research at two UCSD Medical Centers.

Candidates must have an MD or DO in related Orthopaedic studies. Candidates must have completed a US accredited residency training program and be American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery certified or eligible at the time of application and must have completed fellowship training in Foot & Ankle. Candidates with an MD must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
