Position description
Faculty Position in Geriatrics. The Division of Geriatrics in the Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu) at University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body is actively recruiting for geriatrics-trained physicians to practice in the San Diego, CA area.
We seek an individual who is willing to work in a wide range of clinical programs in our growing geriatrics program. We provide clinical care in outpatient and inpatient settings. Superb benefits package. Excellent opportunities for teaching and pursuing other academic interests.
Candidates must have an MD or PhD in health sciences disciplines. Candidates with an MD must have California medical license eligibility and be board certified/eligible in geriatrics.
Prior experience in a variety of clinical care settings; clinical teaching; scholarship and institutional/committee service are preferred.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
