Position description

The University of California, San Diego, Department of Surgery (http://surgery.ucsd.edu ) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The UCSD/SDSU Joint Doctoral program (http://go.ucsd.edu/2zXBRo1) in Audiology seeks a lecturer to teach a course on Intraoperative Monitoring for fall, winter or spring terms.

The individual will be responsible for teaching a group of about 10 2nd year AuD students that have basic knowledge of evoked potentials and neuroanatomy. The course class will be conducted one day per week (for less than a quarter).

Qualified candidates must have:
1) AuD or PhD degree
2) Board certification in NIOM (Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring)
3) American Audiology Board certification in IOM (Intraoperative Monitoring) or Certification in ABRET
4) Minimum 3 years experience in NIOM

Candidates with teaching or clinical experience in IOM will be preferred.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
