Position description

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (http://ortho.ucsd.edu/) and the Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego (www.rchsd.org) are committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body are jointly recruiting for a highly qualified board certified/eligible Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon.

Responsibilities will include patient care, teaching and research at Rady Children’s Hospital.

Candidates must have an MD or DO, or PhD in related orthopaedic studies. Candidates with an MD must have completed a US accredited residency training program in Orthopeadic Surgery at the time of application and must have completed a fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. Candidates with an MD must be able to obtain an unrestricted California medical license and be Board certified or Board eligible.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
