The Department of NanoEngineering (http://ne.ucsd.edu), which administers the NanoEngineering and Chemical Engineering undergraduate and graduate degree programs for the Jacobs School of Engineering, invites applications for temporary, non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18). The initial appointment may be for a period of up to two (2) academic years.
Courses may include undergraduate lower- and upper-division lecturers in the areas of Physical Properties of Materials and Mechanical Behavior of Materials. Candidates should have expertise in undergraduate and graduate education in Chemical Engineering and/or NanoEngineering, and can provide evidence of effective and innovative teaching.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in NanoEngineering, Chemical Engineering or similar advanced graduate degree, with experience in laboratory work related to those fields.
