Description

The University of California, San Diego, Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery (https://healthsciences.ucsd.edu/som/surgery/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and seek to recruit a fellowship trained vascular surgeon with a focus on clinical care and research in the area of advanced endovascular and open vascular surgery.

The ideal candidate must have demonstrated excellence in clinical care of patients, as well as an excellent track record of publication.

Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:
1) MD and Board certification or eligibility in Vascular Surgery
2) Successful completion or anticipated completion of 0+5 or 5+2 fellowship program
3) Commitment to research and education
4) Must have or be able to obtain a California medical license

The faculty member will be expected to devote up to 90% of their time to clinical care depending on clinical and research skills and mix.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
