Description

The Department of Literature within the Division of Arts and Humanities at UC San Diego (http://literature.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. It is preferred that applicants have experience teaching large undergraduate survey lecture courses. All Literature courses will be considered and based on department needs. Salary and level of appointment are based on qualifications and UC pay scale. Proof of authorization to work in the U. S. will be required prior to employment (Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1985).

Required Qualification:

• Ph.D. or ABD in Japanese Studies or closely related field such as East Asian Studies, with expertise in Japanese literature and culture, and outstanding teaching experience. Graduate students who have ABD standing in the UC San Diego Literature department are also eligible to apply.

This is a part-time position, teaching one or two courses in Winter 2019 quarter.
