This is a full-time faculty employment in our practice associated with El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC). ECRMC is affiliated with UCSD Health through UCSD Health Care Network.
Position is based full-time in El Centro, CA. Based on final candidate’s qualifications, experience and interest, it would be possible to have an option of occasional clinical work at UCSD Health Medical Center’s Level 1 Trauma Center in San Diego. Large surgical case volume is expected (200+ annually) at El Centro practice. Competitive salary with adjustment for geography/location.
Candidates should have a commitment to research and education and show documented excellence in clinical activities, research , and teaching.
Qualified candidates must have:
1) Board Certification in General Surgery
2) Surgical Critical Care board certified or eligible
3) Must have or be able to obtain a California medical license
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
