Description

The Department of Radiology at UC San Diego (http://radiology.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The department is seeking a full-time faculty member to participate in breast and body imaging, and research, as a Woman's Imaging faculty member.

The candidate is expected to participate fully in all the clinical activities of the division and will be responsible for interpreting mammogram, breast US and MRI, image guided breast interventions, fetal MR, pelvic imaging, and diagnostic radiology. The candidate will teach fellows, residents, medical students, and visiting scholars and participate in division educational and administrative activities.

Candidates must have an MD, board certification or board eligibility in radiology, Breast Imaging or Woman's Imaging fellowship, and be eligible for a California medical license.

The preferred candidate will have MD and PhD degrees, demonstrated academic productivity and scholarship, exemplary clinical care and teaching, and the desire and potential to become an international leader in the field of Woman's imaging. The preferred candidate will have expertise in Diffusion MRI including RSI, and a strong background in MR physics. The preferred candidate will also have demonstrated the ability to earn nationally competitive grant awards, including trainee awards.

Appointment will be at the Assistant Professor rank. Series will include 100% Ladder Rank or 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
