Position description

The Department of Reproductive Medicine (Ob/GYN) within the School of Medicine at UC San Diego (http://repromed.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body. The department is seeking to expand its Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) Division research and clinical program with the recruitment of a physician and researcher.

Applicants will be expected to practice clinical FPMRS, conduct an extramural research program, teach students, train residents and fellows, mentor resident and fellow research projects, and participate in administrative functions of the department and University. The successful candidate will benefit from the highly stimulating and collaborative environment within the Department of Reproductive Medicine (OB/GYN).

Applicants must have an MD and be a board certified practicing FPMRS subspecialist. Applicants must have a medical license or eligibility to obtain a medical license. Applicants must have an outstanding publication record and a track record of success in obtaining extramural funding and have current NIH funding and must be able to secure extramural funding to support research.

The preferred candidate will have clinical experience in the full spectrum of pelvic floor disorders, and experience with successful pelvic floor research. Demonstrated leadership in national or international urogynecology organizations is preferred.

Appointment will be at the Associate or Full Professor rank. Series will include 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
