The Department of Neurosciences at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) ( is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and is seeking an outstanding Pediatric Neurologist.

UC San Diego and Rady Children’s Hospital Medical Foundation are interested in pediatric neurologists with clinical and translational research in the areas of neonatal neurology, neuro-developmental disabilities, and general child neurology. The division is an integral part of the Department of Neurosciences and, as such, is fully participating in the exciting new developments within the Department and the distinguished Neurosciences community at UCSD.

Candidates must have a PhD in biomedical sciences, neurosciences or other similar related fields and/or MD degree or equivalent. Candidates with an MD degree must have, or be eligible for a California medical license and be board certified/board eligible in General Pediatric Neurology. Candidates must have clinical expertise in general pediatric neurology, neonatal neurology or neuro-developmental disabilities or other specialty areas within pediatric neurology.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
