The Moores Cancer Center services were ranked among the top 50 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in its 2016-17 "Best Hospitals" survey, which recognized UC San Diego Health as the top adult hospital in San Diego. In 2015, the center was named one of "100 Hospitals and Health with Great Oncology Programs" by Becker's Hospital Review.
Candidates must have a PhD and completed the postdoctoral fellowship at the time of hiring. Candidates must have experience in writing grant and performing independent experiments.
Responsibilities include managing the lab including a post doc working on lung cancer and mesothelioma projects and a technician in the lab who will assist with mouse colony maintenance, mouse husbandry, cell culture, molecular biology. The selected candidate will be required to write grants and perform independent experiments.
Appointment will be at Assistant, Associate or Full Project Scientist level based on background and years of experience. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
