The Neurobiology Section in the Division of Biological Sciences (www.biology.ucsd.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor. Candidates who investigate original questions in the nervous system and use innovative approaches, either technical or conceptual, are encouraged to apply. The Neurobiology Section (http://biology.ucsd.edu/research/academic-sections/nb/index.html) is a highly interactive group who is looking for colleagues who complement existing strengths.
All candidates must have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, and be committed to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to excellence and creativity in research and scholarship, successful candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion in higher education. We are especially interested in candidates who have created or contributed to programs that aim to increase access and success of underrepresented students and/or faculty in the sciences, and/or have detailed plans to accomplish such goals.
The Division of Biological Sciences at UCSD is a vibrant center of scientific discovery, innovation, and collaboration. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
