Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (HS Clin, Clin X, Adjunct, In-Residence) MED - Electrophysiologist
Position description
Cardiovascular Medicine: The University of California, San Diego School of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu), the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center and the VA San Diego Healthcare System is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is actively recruiting for a Full-time Academic Electrophysiologist in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine . The position will be based at the VA San Diego Healthcare System but will also provide clinical services at the Sulpizio Cardiovascular.
Both laboratories have a strong track record of clinical excellence and success in translational research. Candidates will benefit from rich collaborations with investigators in bioengineering, cellular electrophysiology and regenerative medicine. Position involves electrophysiology clinical care, research, teaching, and some local travel.
Candidates must have an MD and board certification/eligibility in Cardiovascular Diseases and Electrophysiology, and a California medical licensure is required. Candidates must have Cardiovascular Disease and CCEP training in ACGME accredited programs. Prior experience in these areas is desirable.
Rank and series of appointment will be determined by candidate's background and qualifications. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California and VA pay scales.
