The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (http://ortho.ucsd.edu/) is committed to the academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and seeks an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor.
Candidates must have a PhD in Orthopaedic Science or related field, with post-doctoral training and clear trajectory towards external funding in translational research. Candidate with expertise in statistical methods, clinical trials and research related to spine pathology and/or spinal pain are preferred. Candidates will be expected to secure extramural funding to support research.
Responsibilities will include research and teaching Orthopeadic residents, graduate and undergraduate students in the classroom and laboratory at UCSD.
Appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Series will be determined based on candidate’s experience and qualifications. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales.
