Position description

The Scripps Institution of Oceanography Department, at UC San Diego, is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body. Pending budgetary approval, one or more non tenure-track lectureships are expected to be available for the 2017-18 academic year. Appointments may be one or more quarters based on department need. All areas of earth, atmospheric, oceanographic and marine biosciences may be considered. A Bachelor’s degree or higher in these or related fields, demonstrated knowledge of the "state of the field", and evidence of effective teaching are required. A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion are highly desirable.

The 9-month salary and level of appointment are based on qualifications and UC pay scale.
