UCSD Dermatology is dedicated to rendering quality patient-centered care, excellence in education and research. The Department of Dermatology is recruiting several faculty positions with Clinical and or/Research focus to bring new and complementary research and clinical expertise to our fast growing program which has earned the respect of the community as the premier dermatology center in the nation.
The Department of Dermatology has a rapidly growing, robust clinical practice in multiple locations providing General Dermatology, Dermatopathology, Cosmetic Dermatology, Procedural Dermatology, Mohs Surgery and Pediatric Dermatology services. Our team is comprised of outstanding faculty and staff committed to clinical work and jointly shares education and quality initiatives.
Training in basic and translational research is a high priority for the Department of Dermatology. We are proud to have several faculty members with highly successful research programs that reflect broad interest in skin immunology, genetics, development, cancer and disease specific programs.
Qualified candidates must have an MD, DO, PhD or MD /PhD degree.
Clinicians must be be Board-certified or board eligible in Dermatology within a year of appointment and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care and education. Experience with practicing Dermatology in both outpatient and inpatient settings is preferred.
Researchers must be or have demonstrated ability to conduct research using modern techniques in molecular biology, cell biology, developmental biology, biochemistry, structural biology, immunology, computational biology, bioinformatics, genetics, and/or genomics applied to investigating the biology or diseases of the skin.
Rank and series will be determined based on candidate’s experience and qualifications. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
