THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO (UCSD), DEPARTMENT OF PEDIATRICS (http://www.pediatrics.ucsd.edu), AND RADY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF SAN DIEGO (http://www.rchsd.org) are committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. We are seeking academic physicians/clinicians to join the Division of Infectious Disease (http://www.rchsd.org/programs-services/infectious-diseases/team/) and the Infectious Diseases subspecialty service at RCHSD.

Rady Children’s Hospital, with 551 beds has expanded its acute inpatient pavilion and is now the largest children’s hospital on the west coast serving about one million children for their medical and surgical care. Rady Children’s Hospital has more than 200 medical and surgical specialists who are university physicians and have strong relationships with community pediatricians.

Candidates must have an MD, be board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, be licensable in the state of California, and have demonstrable clinical experience and skills.

Preferred candidates will have experience in inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases clinical care, and/or the successful completion of a 3-year accredited fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable and relevant clinical care skills and have the potential for or existing funding of research endeavors.

Appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Series will be determined by the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications and funding. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
