The Human Development Program at the University of California, San Diego ( is committed to building an excellent and diverse faculty, staff, and student body, and invites applications from candidates whose experience has prepared them to contribute to our commitment. The program is currently accepting applications for temporary non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18) to teach the following courses for the upcoming academic year:

HDP1 – Introduction to Human Development
HDP110 – Brain and Behavioral Development
HDP111 – Evolutionary Principles in Human Development
HDP133 – Socio-Cultural Foundations of Human Development
HDP120 – Language Development
HDP122 – Social Development
HDP150 – Advanced Human Development
HDP171 – Diversity in Human Development
HDP181 – Experimental Projects

Candidates should have at minimum a Master’s degree in a related field (e.g. human development, psychology, sociology, linguistics, biology, communication, anthropology, cognitive science, education studies, ethnic studies, history, literature, urban studies), outstanding teaching qualifications, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity. Initial appointments will be on a part-time basis with possible extension to subsequent quarters. Positions available beginning the 2017/2018 academic year.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales
