The Department of Pathology (http://pathology.ucsd.edu) at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Department seeks a doctoral-level (Ph.D.) neuroscientist to develop a translational research program in the area of drug development for neurodegeneration (with emphasis on Alzheimer disease) and to augment the efforts of the neurodegeneration research team at UC San Diego.
Candidates must have a PhD degree and at least five years of experience in drug target identification, drug discovery/lead optimization, pre-clinical development, clinical trial design/management, investigational new drug (IND) preparation and submission.
Appointment will be at the Associate or Full Professor Rank in the Adjunct series.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
