Tenure Position in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine. The Department of Medicine ( at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Department is initiating a search for researcher for a tenured faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor level in the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine.

The Division is internationally recognized for its research and patient care. The position will focus on research on pulmonary diseases. Successful applicants will benefit from and complement the existing strengths of the Department in studies of pulmonary hypertension. The successful candidate is expected to develop a strong individual research program, to contribute to the research portfolio of the Division, and to provide future strategic leadership in research.

Applicants must have an MD, PhD in Pulmonary Medicine and related fields or MD/PhD. Candidates with MDs must be board certified/eligible within at least one specialty: Pulmonary, Critical Care, and/or Sleep Medicine and eligible for a California Medical License. Candidates must also have an excellent record of research productivity and extramural grant funding.

Appointment will be at the Associate or Full Professor rank. Series will include 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
