The Jacobs School of Engineering at UCSD has multiple opportunities for temporary, non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18) in our Masters of Advanced Studies (MAS) programs as well as in our "ENG" Programs.
MAS Courses are graduate-level in the areas of Wireless Embedded Systems (WES), Architecture-Based Enterprise Systems Engineering (AESE), Data Science and Engineering (DSE), and Medical Device Engineering (MDE).
ENG courses may be undergraduate or graduate and may be affiliated with IDEA Center, Global TIES, the von Liebig Center, the Gordon Center, the Institute for the Global Entrepreneur, the E4 Maker Space, or other educational programs affiliated with the Jacobs School Dean's Office.
The full list of MAS courses offered may be found on the MAS website: http://jacobsschool.ucsd.edu/mas/.
Current ENG courses are listed at the following link: http://ucsd.edu/catalog/courses/SOE.html. In addition to the currently listed ENG courses, new ENG courses may also be offered and we are looking for individuals teach these courses, as well. Please check the ENG course list throughout the year for potential additional courses.
Candidates must hold a master's degree or higher in fields related to Engineering and must have demonstrated evidence of effective teaching. In rare cases, industry experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
We encourage candidates to send applications as soon as possible. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, and candidates will be contacted as teaching needs arise throughout the academic year.
Review of applications will begin May 19, 2017 and continue until positions are filled.
