Position description

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (http://ortho.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and is seeking a highly qualified orthopaedic trauma surgeon.

Responsibilities will include patient care, teaching, research, and on-call coverage at UC San Diego Health Level 1 Trauma Center Hillcrest and other UC San Diego facilities La Jolla.

Applicants must have an MD or DO. Candidates must have completed a US accredited orthopaedic surgery residency program, an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship program, be ABOS eligible or certified and must have, or be, able to obtain a unrestricted California Medical License. The full-time Faculty Appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level, in the Clinical series.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
