Position description

The Department of Linguistics at the University of California, San Diego (http://ling.ucsd.edu/) is committed to building an excellent and diverse faculty, staff, and student body, and invites applications from candidates whose experience has prepared them to contribute to our commitment. The department is currently accepting applications for temporary non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18) to teach for the upcoming academic year. Courses may include upper- and lower-division lectures in the areas of General Linguistics, Cognition and Language, Language and Society, Language Studies, and Global Concentration.

Candidates must have at minimum a Master’s degree or equivalent in Linguistics or related field, outstanding teaching qualifications, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity. Appointments will be part-time or full-time, up to a total of two courses per quarter, from one quarter up to one year in duration. Positions available beginning the 2016/2017 academic year.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales
