THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY within the Division of Physical Sciences at UC San Diego (http://chemistry.ucsd.edu/) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Molecular Biophysics. Experimentalists with a strong focus on addressing fundamental biological questions using modern biophysical tools are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics or a closely-related field and a demonstrated ability or potential for a recognized program of excellence in both teaching and research. This is a broad search and all areas of biophysics are being considered. Although not limited to a specific area, subjects of interest include probing single molecules or assemblies of molecules, macromolecular recognition, and molecular mechanisms of essential biological processes.
