Position description

The Department of Neurosciences within in the School of Medicine at UC, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body. The Department of Neurosciences invites applications from outstanding candidates for Faculty appointment.

UC San Diego is recruiting Stroke Neurologists to join our thriving clinical stroke team. Applicants must be board eligible or board certified Neurologist with stroke fellowship training and eligible to hold a full and unrestricted Medical License in the State of California.

This position requires strong leadership qualities, participation in a busy emergency response stroke team, busy inpatient services and a successful tele-stroke program. The candidate also will staff large outpatient stroke referral clinics and participate in clinical research and teaching.

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The department is interested in candidates who have demonstrated commitment to excellence by providing leadership in teaching, research or service towards building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
