Position description

THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO (http://www.pediatrics.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Division of Academic General Pediatrics, Child Development and Community Health is recruiting for an outstanding, experienced full-time Pediatrician to join our dynamic academic program in the section of Academic General Pediatrics at the Assistant or Associate Level. The UCSD Pediatrics program emphasizes excellence in medical education, clinical care, and research. Work in all three areas is multidisciplinary, and emphasizes community outreach and involvement. Clinical programs include the Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Clinic on the Rady Children’s Hospital Campus, and may include consults at UCSD’s Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Clinic and other affiliated locations. Additionally, ample research opportunities and collaborators are available through our academic and community networks.

The ideal candidate must be a strong clinician with substantial experience in developmental-behavioral pediatrics, along with an existing scholarly focus. We are particularly interested in individuals with a background in medical ethics. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated strong leadership or a commitment to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in an academic setting. Academic medicine includes the training of fellows, residents and medical students in the clinical setting.
Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales
