Position description

Faculty Position, University of California San Diego: The Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu) at University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Division of Gastroenterology is actively recruiting a full time physician scientist at the Assistant Professor level. Clinical training should include completion of an accredited Hepatology fellowship with UNOS certification. Clinical responsibilities will include Hepatology, Transplant Hepatology and endoscopy. Research interest and expertise should be in the area of clinical or laboratory based research in liver diseases. Position will be approximately 30% clinical activity and 70% research.

The Department is interested in candidates who have demonstrated commitment to excellence by providing leadership in teaching, research or service towards building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
