Position description

The Critical Gender Studies Program (http://cgs.ucsd.edu) at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body, and invites applications whose experience has prepared them to contribute to our commitment. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in a variety of fields including, but not limited to, Women’s Studies, Ethnic Studies, LGBTQ Studies, Gender Studies, Queer Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, and Arts & Humanities. The program is looking primarily for Lecturers with teaching experience in related disciplines ranging from race and social movements, gender politics, ethnic diversity, law & civil rights, to indigenous studies. Applicants should demonstrate outstanding teaching qualifications and have experience managing diverse classrooms. Appointments will most likely be part-time, though possibly full-time, from one quarter up to one year in duration, and with the possibility of extension. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated strong leadership or a commitment to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in an academic setting.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on published UC pay scales.
