Position description

Faculty Position in Biomedical Informatics.

The Division of Biomedical Informatics in the Department of Medicine (http//dbmi.ucsd.edu) at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is currently recruiting outstanding faculty for tenure position(s).

The Division is seeking an experienced leader in Biomedical Informatics and Cancer Computational Biology to direct research and/or service programs in the following areas, as well as to teach in our training programs:
•Clinical Research and Translational Bioinformatics
•High Throughput Genomics and Cancer Computational Biology
•Statistical Methods and Data Analysis of Oncological data
•Biomedical Data Modeling and Molecular Pattern Recognition

Candidates should have an MD and/or PhD, or equivalent degrees and a strong and proven record of: i) successful biomedical research projects, ii) collaborations, iii) publications, and iv) extramural funding. Strong management, communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Rank will be determined based on candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
