Position description

UCSD Department of Pediatrics/Rady Children’s Specialists of San Diego, a Medical Foundation is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The department is recruiting a full time pediatric endocrinologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level for the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology of the Department of Pediatrics and Rady Children’s Hospital, San Diego. The hospital is an approximately 400-bed facility which serves as a major regional tertiary care hospital for children and is the major teaching facility for the Department of Pediatrics of the UCSD School of Medicine. Candidates must be Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology and licensed or licensable to practice medicine in the state of California. This appointment will require demonstrated excellent skills in clinical care and teaching.

Successful candidates will also demonstrate strong or potential accomplishments in areas contributing to diversity, equity and inclusion, and a desire to play a leadership role in advancing UC, San Diego’s commitment to achieving excellence and diversity.

Opportunities to collaborate with divisional faculty and with clinical and basic science investigators in other departments are available. The Division provides a full range of pediatric endocrinology and diabetes services. It currently has 9 faculty members and an ACGME approved fellowship program with 3 fellows.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales
