Position description

THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO (UCSD), DEPARTMENT OF PEDIATRICS (http://www-pediatrics.ucsd.edu), AND RADY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF SAN DIEGO (http://www.rchsd.org) are committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. We are seeking academic physicians at the assistant or associate rank to join the Division of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.

Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in pediatric rehabilitation medicine with experience in general pediatrics and/or pediatric rehabilitation medicine. The appointments will be made in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in equity and diversity with respect to teaching, mentoring, research, life experiences, or service towards building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment.

RCHSD, a 220-bed level 1 Trauma Center, is the major regional primary and tertiary pediatric hospital and is the clinical home of UCSD Department of Pediatrics. The Division has a strong commitment to clinical care, teaching and research. The division follows over 2500 patients and the only pediatric rehabilitation group in the region.

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Successful candidates will also demonstrate strong or potential accomplishments in areas contributing to diversity, equity and inclusion, and a desire to play a leadership role in advancing UC San Diego’s and Rady Children's Hospital San Diego’s commitment to achieving excellence and diversity.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales
