Position description

The Department of Radiology (http://radiology.ucsd.edu) within the School of Medicine at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Department is seeking to recruit a senior-level board certified radiologist to lead research in the development, translation, and validation of quantitative magnetic resonance imaging biomarkers for assessment of chronic liver disease. Candidate should have an independent and vigorous extramurally funded research program in quantitative magnetic resonance imaging of the liver. This faculty position is at the Full Professor level. Required Qualifications: a) Candidates must possess an MD, b) have a track record of publications in internationally recognized journals and lectures in national and international meetings, c) demonstrated leadership at departmental and national levels, and d) demonstrated experience in mentorship of junior faculty and trainees. The successful candidate will have strong demonstrated accomplishments in the areas contributing to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a desire to play leadership role in advancing UC San Diego's commitment to achieving excellence and diversity.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
