The Department of History at the University of California, San Diego, (history.ucsd.edu), within the Division of Arts and Humanities at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and invites applications for an Assistant Professor, tenure-track position in Asian American History. Chronological period and specialization are open. We welcome expertise in transnationalism, comparative and relational approaches to the study of race and ethnicity, immigration, gender, and sexuality. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated strong leadership or a commitment to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in an academic setting. Salary will be commensurate with experience and publications and in general accordance with the published salary schedules of the University of California. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2014.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
