Faculty Positions in General Internal Medicine. The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu) at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is actively recruiting Academic Physicians to join the ambulatory clinical practice at UCSD General Internal Medicine.
We seek outstanding applicants interested in improving outpatient primary care and chronic disease management.
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality training and teaching, participating in the clinical care of patients, and/or research.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.

As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Candidates must have an MD, DO or equivalent and/or PhD in health related fields.
Candidates with a MD, DO or equivalent must be Board certified or Board eligible in Internal Medicine.
Candidates with a MD, DO or equivalent must be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
Candidates who are adaptable to new emerging technologies are preferred.
