Position description

The Global Health Program (GHP) at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. GHP invites applicants for an opportunity for temporary, non-tenure track, lecturer (Unit 18) positions to teach GHP courses for the upcoming academic year.

GHP is looking for Lecturers with demonstrated teaching experience in related disciplines ranging from medical anthropology, public health, global health, epidemiology, and medical social sciences. Courses may be at the graduate or undergraduate level and are in the area of global health related topics.

The position is expected to be in-person and classes will be held on the UC San Diego Campus.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidates applying must have a PhD or equivalent degree or at least 5 years of professional experience in medical anthropology, public health, global health, epidemiology, or a medical social science.

ABD will be considered.

Preferred qualifications

Candidates with at least 1 year of experience in teaching or mentoring in global health related topics.
