Position description

The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine, Department of Urology (https://urology.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body is recruiting for a new faculty member for Benign Urology Translational Research.

The focus areas of particular interest include the Microbiome, Biomedical Engineering, Dietary Sciences, and Data Analytics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and conducting research in Benign Urological Diseases including kidney stones, urinary incontinence, reconstructive urology, and andrology.

The appointment will be at the Associate or Full Professor rank. Series will include 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding or 100% Ladder Rank.

Salary is commensurate with the candidate's experience and background and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.

As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Candidates must have a PhD in Benign Urological Disease, or related fields and have current extramural funding.
