Position description

UC San Diego’s Center for Global Sustainable Development, housed in the Jacobs School of Engineering, has an opportunity for a non-tenure track lecturer (Unit 18) .

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in human-centered design, social innovation, sustainability, or community development, as well as a demonstrated commitment to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusive excellence.

Current ENG courses are listed at the following link: https://ucsd.edu/catalog/courses/ENG.html In addition to the currently listed ENG courses, new ENG courses may also be offered and we are looking for individuals to teach these courses, as well. Please check the ENG course list throughout the year for potential additional courses.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (Required at Time of Application)

Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s degree in engineering, social sciences, education, or relevant field. (2 years of professional experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.)

Preferred qualifications

Preferably Ph.D. in fields related to Engineering.
