The Department of Neurosciences (https://medschool.ucsd.edu/som/neurosciences/pages/default.aspx) within the School of Medicine at University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientist.
Under supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Project Scientist will function independently and the role includes:
1) designing, managing and conducting experiments;
2) training and teaching students and others in the field of study;
3) leading and making innovative and significant contributions to the project(s);
4) participating and presenting at scientific meetings;
5) writing scientific reports, manuscripts and grants for submission and/or publication.
Appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate or Full Project Scientist level based on background and years of experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
Candidates must have a MD or equivalent or Doctoral degree in neurosciences, basic sciences or other related health disciplines.
Candidates with publications are preferred.
