Position description

The Korea-Pacific Program is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Graduate School of Global Policy and Strategy at UCSD, funded with generous support from the Korea Foundation.

The Fellow would be in residence in San Diego for approximately six months, with a start date between September 19, 2022, and December 31, 2022 (at a time to be negotiated). The purpose of the fellowship is to work on a research project with the prospect of publication, either in the form of a book or articles, and to interact with the faculty and students at the Graduate School. The Fellow will receive a stipend of approximately $6,000 per month while in residence, and UC San Diego will reimburse travel expenses up to $2,000.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Recent Ph.D. recipients, or will receive a Ph.D. by the start of the postdoctoral program. We welcome applications from untenured Professors who can take leave from their home institution during the visit.

Preferred qualifications

Applicant holds or will hold a PhD focused in in political science (including international relations and comparative politics), economics, or business studies
