Position description

The Jacobs School of Engineering at UCSD has multiple opportunities for temporary, non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18) in our Masters of Advanced Studies (MAS) programs as well as in our "ENG" Programs. The Jacobs School of Engineering is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body.

MAS Courses are graduate-level in the areas of Wireless Embedded Systems (WES), Architecture-Based Enterprise Systems Engineering (AESE), Data Science and Engineering (DSE).

ENG courses may be undergraduate or graduate and may be affiliated with IDEA Center, Global TIES, the von Liebig Center, the Gordon Center, the Institute for the Global Entrepreneur, the E4 Maker Space, or other educational programs affiliated with the Jacobs School Dean's Office.

Current ENG courses are listed at the following link: https://ucsd.edu/catalog/courses/ENG.html In addition to the currently listed ENG courses, new ENG courses may also be offered and we are looking for individuals to teach these courses, as well. Please check the ENG course list throughout the year for potential additional courses.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Master's degree or higher in fields related to Engineering,
must have demonstrated evidence of effective teaching,
industry experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Preferred qualifications

Preferably Ph.D. in fields related to Engineering.
