Position description

The Rady School of Management at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body.

The Rady School invites applications for one or more Postdoctoral Scholar positions. Rady Postdoctoral Scholars are expected to interact with existing programs, and candidates are encouraged to contact potential mentors and identify mutual research interests prior to submitting their applications. Research activities at Rady can be explored by viewing profiles of the faculty (https://rady.ucsd.edu/people/faculty/).

These Postdoctoral Scholars have demonstrated that they are strong researchers in the following disciplines: accounting, business analytics, economics/strategy, finance, innovation, technology, and operations, marketing, management, and other mainstream business school disciplines. Applicants should make sure to select their specialization when applying.

Review of applications will begin February 1, 2022 and continues until position(s) are filled.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
  • PhD with a focus on business and/or related disciplines.
  • Candidates must have PhD Degree confer prior to hire. The PhD must be completed prior to taking up the appointment (due to UC regulations – at appointment start date, you can have a maximum of 3 years postdoctoral experience). The intention of this program is to expose postdocs to new research opportunities and the facilities available at Rady/UCSD.
Preferred qualifications
  • Emerging scholarly record with research that intersect with Rady School faculty.
  • Teaching potential at the graduate and undergraduate level.
